Jolene Mirabella is a proud Colorado native born in Masonville, CO. For her undergraduate degree she studied Molecular Biology, English, and Secondary Education at The University of Colorado at Boulder. She then worked for 5 years in Healthcare IT before realizing her desire for a career in medicine. She obtained her Master’s of Medical Science and Physician Assistant studies from Red Rocks Physician Assistant School in Lakewood, CO. Her love for neurosurgery and neurosurgical patients began in Boulder where she spent 4.5 years working at Boulder Neurosurgical and Spine Associates in outpatient, inpatient, and clinical settings. She then worked at The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Transplant Surgery where she expanded her medical foundation working in critical care settings. A passion for neurosurgical patients brought her back to Neurosurgery One. She is constantly amazed by the strength neurosurgical patients have to get them through extremely difficult situations and believes in providing care that is compassionate, personal, and dedicated to reaching her patients’ goals. As a surgical Advanced Practice Provider, her primary role is to assist her surgeon both in and out of the operating room in order to provide the best care possible. In her free time, you can find her running on the trails, competing in endurance races, skiing, gardening, and enjoying all things Colorado.
