Board-certified physiatrist and interventional pain management specialist
Dr. Jason Peragine, MD, FAAPMR is an interventional pain management specialist with over two decades of experience treating spine pain using nonsurgical treatments for patients who don’t want, don’t need, or aren’t yet ready for surgery.
He performs painless, highly specific injection-based treatments with IV sedation in the spine and joints to help alleviate or manage pain. Dr. Peragine also performs a wide variety of complex pain management procedures, including spinal cord stimulation to treat painful peripheral neuropathy and other chronic pain conditions.
Down-to-earth and realistic, Dr. Peragine helps his patients navigate the complexities of dealing with chronic pain disorders. His personal care philosophy is to listen first, then lend a hand. Dr. Peragine sees the practice of medicine as a partnership with his patients and encourages them to be an integral part of a patient-informed treatment plan. He has a knack for explaining the complexities of pain management in a way people can easily understand.
Originally from South Florida, Dr. Peragine graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine before moving to Colorado where he completed his residency training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He also completed a specialized fellowship in Spine and Interventional Pain Management. He holds two board certifications in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and in Pain Medicine.
Dr. Peragine has been in private practice since 2003 and has extensive experience and expertise in cervical spine treatments. He joined Neurosurgery One in 2019 to expand the clinic’s capabilities in non-surgical spine treatment. He sees patients for non-surgical treatment evaluations at our Littleton clinics.
Dr. Peragine is one of the top pain management doctors in the Denver metro area. He takes time with his patients so that they fully understand his treatment plan. Because of his conservative approach to pain issues, he never jumps straight into injections or medications. His Interwest practice is very strict with medications so if you're looking for easy prescriptions, this isn't the place for you. If you want a caring doctor who listens to his patients and is one of the top in his profession in town, Dr. Peragine is great.
