When Dr. J. Adair Prall and Dr. David Vansickle founded Neurosurgery One as a private practice in 2013, they set out to build a practice where they – and future colleagues – would want to go to work every day.

The idea was simple but increasingly rare to find: patients get the best care when providers are happy. And providers are happy when they are trusted to practice medicine, not managed from a corporate office chasing the bottom line. That’s why Neurosurgery One has stayed privately owned while so many practices around us have been absorbed by health systems and private equity — and why the decisions that will shape your day still get made by the people doing the work.

That doesn’t mean an easy pace. You’ll see patients efficiently, day after day. You’ll be working with the best and expected to learn, grow and be the best at your job.

But you’ll also have the time to actually listen to patients — because that’s what excellent neurosurgical care requires. And you’ll never have to figure it out alone. Across our six locations, you’ll be part of a large team of physicians and APPs who bring different strengths and expertise together.
