Board-certified physiatrist specializing in interventional spine injections and electrodiagnosis
Dr. Erasmus Morfe is a board-certified physiatrist with two decades of experience in interventional pain management. He performs pain management procedures for patients with neck pain, lower back pain, joint pain, myofascial pain and other conditions.
Using electrodiagnostic studies (EMG/NCS), Dr. Morfe works to find the exact location of nerve damage or injury. These results help guide the next steps in care, such as spinal injections or surgery. Dr. Morfe offers a variety of pain management procedures, including fluoroscopically guided (X-ray) spinal injections performed under IV sedation at Neurosurgery One’s South Denver Surgery Center.
He has a personal interest in helping patients optimize their health and longevity by focusing on diet (whole, unprocessed foods and high protein), strength/resistance training, and restorative sleep. Dr. Morfe believes that optimizing metabolic health reduces overall systemic inflammation, leading to better patient outcomes from injections or eventual surgery.
Dr. Morfe earned his medical degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Morfe also completed a fellowship in Spine and Sports Medicine at the Mayo Clinic.
Well-regarded throughout the Colorado neurosurgery community, Dr. Morfe has been in private practice in Littleton since 2004. He also served as the Medical Director for the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Littleton Adventist Hospital. Dr. Morfe joined Neurosurgery One in 2019 and sees patients at our Littleton clinic.
Dr. Morfe is a very nice guy. He makes sure you know what he's doing and making you feel at ease while he's doing it. Thank you Dr. Morfe for being a very nice guy!
