8 Neurosurgery One Physicians Named 2025 Top Doctors
5280 Magazine has named eight Neurosurgery One physicians as 2025 Top Doctors. The magazine’s annual list of the best doctors in the Denver metro area is created in partnership with Castle Connolly, an independent healthcare research company.
Physicians selected for this honor are considered the very best in the Denver metro area and the top 7% in the nation.
In addition to the Top Doctors honors, Castle Connolly named Neurosurgery One as Colorado’s Top Neurosurgery Practice.
Castle Connolly’s physician-led team of researchers follows a rigorous screening process to select the top doctors across the country. Physicians must be nominated by a peer, then Castle Connolly’s research team thoroughly vets each physician’s professional qualifications, education, hospital and faculty appointments, research leadership, professional reputation, disciplinary history, and, if available, outcomes data. Additionally, a physician’s interpersonal skills, such as listening and communicating effectively, demonstrating empathy, and instilling trust and confidence, are also considered in the review process. The Castle Connolly Doctor Directory is the largest network of peer-nominated physicians in the nation. The process of being named a Top Doctor is entirely merit-based; doctors cannot pay to be named a Top Doctor.
Neurosurgery One is the largest independent neurosurgery practice in Colorado and one of the top 10 physician-owned neurosurgery groups in the nation. The practice was started over 20 years ago with one clinic in Littleton and now operates six clinics throughout the metro area staffed by 10 neurosurgeons, four interventional pain management physicians and 26 advanced practice providers including physician assistants and certified nurse practitioners.
“This recognition reflects not only the individual excellence of our physicians but also the strength of our collective team,” says J. Adair Prall, FAANS, a founding partner. “The diversity of specialties among our Top Doctors, including spine surgery, cranial surgery, neuro-oncology, movement disorders and pain management, demonstrates our commitment to offering a full continuum of neurosurgical care to patients throughout Colorado.”
